🔐MetaPortal Wallet

The MetaPortal wallet is a non-custodial wallet that allows users to represent themselves in a trustless manner while maintaining their self-sovereignty and privacy.

The non-custodial wallet stores your digital assets and gives you complete control over them. It serves as a gateway to the Web3 world and allows you to use those assets in all Web3 games and metaverses.

If you already have an existing wallet, you can log in by entering the mnemonic seed phrase or private key. If you don't have one - you will be able to create a MetaPortal wallet when you launch the application.

We do not store the private key of your wallet (created through MetaPortal or an existing one). It is encrypted and stored securely locally on your device. The store where the PK is stored is encrypted using the AES-256-CBC encryption algorithm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Block_cipher_mode_of_operation

The wallet acts as a unique identifier for each user. All the user's progress is related to it.

Backing up your wallet

You can back up your wallet through the Profile page. You can choose between three options:

  • Copy Private Key

  • Download JSON File

  • Copy Seed Phrase - this option is only available for wallets created through the Portal

Make sure that no one else is able to see your private key or seed phrase when using those options. Never disclose the private key, the seed phrase, and the JSON file. Anyone that has access to them can steal the assets in your wallet.

We will never ask for your private key, seed phrase, or MetaPortal credentials.
