🚀Starting with MetaPortal

Download the Desktop Application

To download the application, go to the website - https://metaportal.gg/ and download the version for your OS.

When you launch the app, you have two options - to log in or to browse as a guest. If you choose to browse as a guest, you will be able to see the games and events, but you won't be able to launch them.

There are two options for login - by creating a MetaPortal wallet (recommended) or by importing an existing wallet.

Creating a MetaPortal wallet

The MetaPortal wallet is a non-custodial wallet. For more information, check MetaPortal wallet.

In order to create one, you first need to copy your Seed Phrase and store it securely. To make sure that you have stored it, you have to then verify it by selecting the words corresponding to three random numbers. Once you go through the verification step, you will be asked to enter a display name and a password. After that, you will be able to log into the Portal.

Logging in with an Existing Wallet

If you want to use an already existing wallet, you have three options to import it:

Using a Private Key

You have to enter the private key of your wallet. Then you will be shown the public address corresponding to this private key. If you decide to continue, you will be asked to create a new username and a password.

Using a Seed Phrase

You have to enter the seed phrase of your wallet. Then you will be shown the public address corresponding to this seed phrase. If you decide to continue, you will be asked to create a new username and a password.

Using a JSON File (can be used for MetaPortal wallets only)

You can use this option if you have already created a MetaPortal wallet in the past and downloaded the JSON backup file. You have to upload the JSON file. Then you will be shown the public address corresponding to this file. If you decide to continue, you will be asked to create a new username and a password.

We do not store the private key of your wallet (created through MetaPortal or an existing one). It is encrypted and stored securely locally on your device.

The wallet acts as a unique identifier for each user. All the user's progress is related to it. If you decide to log in with a different wallet, your current progress will be replaced with the one linked to your new wallet (if any).
