FAQ

What can I do within MetaPortal?

You can browse and play a variety of blockchain-based games and enter metaverse events. You gain XP when you complete quests and stay active.

Do I need a wallet to use MetaPortal?

If you already have an existing wallet, you can use it to log into MetaPortal. If you don't have one - don't worry, you'll be able to create a wallet through MetaPortal. The wallet will serve as a unique identifier (instead of a username). It is non-custodial, lets you store your digital assets, and gives you complete control over them. It serves as a gateway to the Web3 world and allows you to use those assets in all Web3 games and metaverses.

How can I recover my account?

You can recover your account with your wallet's private key. Make sure to save your seed phrase and create a backup of your wallet through the Profile page.

How are new games added to MetaPortal?

Games are added to MetaPortal based on the following considerations:

  1. Interest from the community

  2. Technological feasibility

  3. Permissions to integrate as some Web3 games forbid redistribution through their Terms&Conditions.

If you are working on a game and want to have it in the Portal, please reach out to us.

What networks does MetaPortal support?

Currently, MetaPortal supports only the Ethereum network.

How can I start the app if it's not yet verified?

When you download the app, you will most likely get a warning that the app is not verified and you cannot open it. That is because we do not have an Apple or Microsoft ID yet.

In order to open the app, perform the following steps:

On MacOS

Go to Finder -> Applications and find the MetaPortal app. Control-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu.

On WIndows

Go to Settings -> Apps -> Apps & features. In the right pane of Apps & features, under Choose where to get apps, select the Anywhere option.
